As an employee-owned company, ownership isn’t just about what happens inside our facility walls, it’s about taking pride in the community we call home. At our Tennplasco facility in Lafayette, Tennessee, our team has been putting that commitment into action with two hands-on initiatives aimed at uplifting our neighbors.

The Onsite Community Blessing Box

Our Lafayette team wanted to create a direct, accessible way to support people across the local community who might be experiencing a tough stretch. To do that, employees established an onsite Community Blessing Box, serving as an open giving hub for the surrounding town.

Stocked regularly by team members with essential groceries, toiletries and everyday household goods, the box operates on a simple, anonymous principle: take what you need, leave what you can. By hosting this resource, our team helps ensure local residents and families in Lafayette have reliable access to basic essentials whenever they need a helping hand.

Whipped Cream for a Cause: The Pie in the Face Challenge

Doing good doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun in the process. Our Lafayette team recently launched a Pie in the Face Challenge to raise funds for The Dream Makers, an organization doing vital work to transform the lives of young adults aging out of foster care.

Employees paid for the privilege of tossing whipped-cream pies at their colleagues and managers. The event brought plenty of laughs to the floor, but more importantly, every dollar raised directly supported local youth transitioning into adulthood with the resources, connections and stability they deserve.

Rooted in Purpose

Whether it’s keeping essential supplies stocked in a blessing box or taking a pie to the face for local youth, our Tennplasco family shows what happens when employee-owners direct their energy toward making a difference. We’re proud of our Lafayette team for proving that strong companies build stronger communities!
